Easy Strawberry-Matcha Protein Latte

Now that the weather is finally starting to cooperate (come on, Ohio), it's time for smoothies and cold drinks! What is more refreshing than an ice cold smoothie or latte on a hot day? Better yet, one that has 10 grams of plant-based protein and will also give you some extra pep in your step.

This combination of matcha protein and strawberries is a must try. It will surely keep you feeling refreshed on a hot summer day (or any day really).


List of Ingredients

  • 8-10 Strawberries

  • Milk of choice (I used unsweetened almond milk)

  • Splash of liquid sweetener (I used pure maple syrup)

  • Ice

  • Vega Matcha Protein and Energy Protein Powder (normal matcha powder could work here too)

Step 1: Let’s Get Started

Add strawberries, 1/3 cup of milk, liquid sweetener and ice to blender.

Blend until smooth and add strawberry mixture to glass that is filled with ice.

Step 2: Up Next

Add 1/2 scoop of matcha protein powder to separate glass and mix with 1/2 cup of milk. This is where you could also prepare traditional matcha instead of the protein mix.

Once thoroughly mixed, add protein to the glass on top of strawberry mixture.

Stir and enjoy!
